How many names for things with ‘lands’ at the end can I find? Time will tell. For now, welcome to Newfoundlands, a new, fortnightly review (because my life isn’t interesting enough for weekly) of the best things I’ve visited in London the last 14 days, only for this one let’s say 30 days just to get the ball rolling.

Think art openings, new museums, weird ice cream parlours… Actually, you’ll find all three of those things in this post - but, just so we’re clear, there will be absolutely no mention of those massive dogs that look like bears, ok?

Now that’s out the way, I want to talk about the recently opened Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration, which is great.
